Parent-pre-school teacher relations during the COVID-19 pandemic ‒ Promoters and undermining factors

The COVID-19 pandemic compelled teachers to grapple with the challenge of distance learning and remote communication pre-school children their parents. This study examines how student-teachers perceived teacher’s relations parents during first lockdown. is based on a mixed-method, quantitative qualitative, research design among ten third-year in Israel. 56% reported that lockdown were strengthened, which they attributed several factors (e.g., parental desire establish routine maintain child’s connection friends teacher, advance children). Other undermine parent-teacher number siblings, busy parents, economic emotional stress, technological illiteracy). underscores importance holistic ecologic approach early childhood education teachers, student-teachers, children, critical need for partnership transparency between teacher student-teacher.
